GPS in cell phones too

Pretty expected, the cell phone is always with you, and it is the best place to home a GPS, next step is surely to get the maps inside and probably a way for the security people to pinpoint wanted people whereever they are through a small program running on phone and sending location info. LG 8600 Pone has the GPS built-in and others will follow. Link to this is here

I unexpectedly found out that the cell phone is used for tracking even when it's turned off!!

try to turn your cell phone off, and then try to call it from somewhere else, you'd receive the message "The phone is currently turned off"

now try to remove the battery of the cell phone, then call it , you will hear "Cell phone can't be reached"

you do the math.

I believe that, so far, what the service provider knows about you is only the cell you belong to at that time, which can be though of as coarse tracking. Please go through the more recent post, and check out the video that claims a netowrk of three access points can cover a wide area and figure where you are are precisely

the "ipod + Nike" chip, pretty interesting. They located him precisely, not only the Cell he blongs to, this is a real precise tracking!
